The highlight of this collection is a print with motifs of tiles dating back to the times when those shapes were a reflection of new aesthetic elements. The images of tiles are reminiscent of ceramic trade in Europe that appeared to counteract the monopoly of China blue and white porcelain. In Holland and Portugal manufactures were the first to produce this type of tiles in blue and white.
Inspiration of tiles is combined with geometric patterns of contrasting colors, as Prati and Monti. Also, Chinese labyrinth patterns or ikats finishings like Trevi fabric or Parioni, a typical ‘trellis’ that oversized acquires a spectacular presence.
